How do you heal a Pal in Palworld?
Medical supplies of the right rank, or rest in the Pal Box — except for one illness the game gives no cure for at all.
There are 8 illnesses in Palworld and they are not interchangeable. Each has its own penalty, its own medicine rank, and its own rate of recovery if you leave the Pal in the box instead — all of it stated in the game’s own table, which is why the numbers below are exact rather than the “use medicine” most guides stop at.
| Illness | Work speed | Move speed | Cured by | Pal Box recovery |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cold | -5% | — | Low Grade Medical Supplies | 20% |
| Sprain | — | -5% | Low Grade Medical Supplies | 20% |
| Bulimia | — | — | Low Grade Medical Supplies | 20% |
| Gastric ulcer | -10% | -5% | Medical Supplies | 15% |
| Fracture | -5% | -10% | Medical Supplies | 15% |
| Depression sprain | -20% | -10% | High Grade Medical Supplies | 10% |
| Weakness | -10% | -20% | High Grade Medical Supplies | 10% |
| Disturbing element | -50% | -50% | nothing | 3% |
Each row lists the LOWEST grade that works — a higher grade always cures a lower-ranked illness too, so High Grade Medical Supplies cure everything that can be cured.
With one exception, and it is the one worth knowing: Disturbing element has no medicine at all. The game’s table lists nothing that cures it, it is the harshest penalty in the game at -50% work speed and -50% movement, and the Pal Box recovers it at just 3% — the slowest rate there is. Resting it off is the only route the files describe.
The heaviest ordinary penalty is Disturbing element. A Pal carrying it is not worth keeping at a base until it is cured — see work suitability for what that speed loss actually costs you.
