Pal condensation
Every rank and what it costs. The catch nobody mentions: the soul changes as you climb, so a maxed Pal is not "30 souls" but a bill in four currencies — 10 Small Pal Souls, 6 Medium Pal Souls, 6 Large Pal Souls, 30 Giant Pal Souls.
| Rank | Soul | Cost | Running total of that soul |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Small Pal Soul | 1 | 1 |
| 2 | Small Pal Soul | 2 | 3 |
| 3 | Small Pal Soul | 3 | 6 |
| 4 | Small Pal Soul | 4 | 10 |
| 5 | Medium Pal Soul | 1 | 1 |
| 6 | Medium Pal Soul | 2 | 3 |
| 7 | Medium Pal Soul | 3 | 6 |
| 8 | Large Pal Soul | 1 | 1 |
| 9 | Large Pal Soul | 2 | 3 |
| 10 | Large Pal Soul | 3 | 6 |
| 11 | Giant Pal Soul | 1 | 1 |
| 12 | Giant Pal Soul | 2 | 3 |
| 13 | Giant Pal Soul | 2 | 5 |
| 14 | Giant Pal Soul | 3 | 8 |
| 15 | Giant Pal Soul | 3 | 11 |
| 16 | Giant Pal Soul | 3 | 14 |
| 17 | Giant Pal Soul | 4 | 18 |
| 18 | Giant Pal Soul | 4 | 22 |
| 19 | Giant Pal Soul | 4 | 26 |
| 20 | Giant Pal Soul | 4 | 30 |
The four soul tiers
This is the part that catches people out. Ranks 1–4 take Small Pal Souls, and a stockpile of them feels like real progress. Rank 5 switches to Medium, rank 8 to Large and rank 11 to Giant — and every Small Soul you saved past rank 4 is now dead weight for this Pal. Plan the tier you are aiming for before you start hoarding.
| Soul | Ranks it covers | Total needed |
|---|---|---|
| Small Pal Soul | 1–4 | 10 |
| Medium Pal Soul | 5–7 | 6 |
| Large Pal Soul | 8–10 | 6 |
| Giant Pal Soul | 11–20 | 30 |
Resetting costs gold, and it climbs hard
The reset cost is gold rather than souls, and it tracks the rank steeply: rank 1 undoes for 100, rank 20 for 30,000. Condensing the wrong Pal late is an expensive mistake to undo, which is the real argument for deciding the target before you spend the first soul.
Stat fruits
Separate from condensation, and often confused with it. Each fruit adds a flat amount to one stat’s talent value.
| Fruit | Stat | Adds |
|---|---|---|
| Life Fruit | HP | +10 |
| Power Fruit | Attack | +10 |
| Stout Fruit | Defense | +10 |
Where the souls come from
Souls are a drop and a shop item rather than something you craft, so the practical route to a maxed Pal runs through dungeon chests and merchants. Both are listed here with their real drop tables.
What this page does not claim
The upgrade table states costs, not effects. What each rank does to a Pal’s stats is not in it, so this page does not put a number on it — the totals above are arithmetic on the game’s own figures, and nothing more has been added.
