Farming and base production

All 7 plantations, ordered by how long they take to grow. Growth time is the number everyone quotes; the work amounts underneath it are the number that decides whether your base keeps up. Onion costs 4.7× the total work of Red Berries for the same 10-item harvest.

What the work numbers mean

A plantation is not one job but three, and the game charges you separately for each. Planting, watering and harvesting each carry a work amount that an assigned Pal has to chew through, and the rate depends on that Pal’s level in the matching suitability — Planting, Watering and Farming.

This is why growth time alone misleads. Red Berries and Onion are 3m and 6m 30s apart on paper, but the work gap between the cheapest and dearest crop is far wider than the time gap — a base that cannot supply the labour will sit on grown crops it has nobody to harvest.

Base production buildings

The same work-amount model runs the gathering buildings. Each one names a single product and the work needed per unit. 2 buildings also tick along on their own with no Pal assigned — Crude Oil Extractor, High-Pressure Crude Oil Extractor.

What this page does not claim

The crop table names a seed material field, but in every row it repeats the crop item itself rather than the seed — so it does not state a seed cost, and we do not print one. Two further rows exist for crops the game has not named yet; they carry the literal placeholder en Text where a name should be, so they stay out until Pocketpair names them.
