Why there is no prerequisite path

Palworld’s technology tree looks like a tree and mostly is not one. Of the 579 entries in the game’s table, only 13 name a prerequisite technology. Everything else is gated on your character level alone: reach the level, pay the points, take the unlock in any order you like.

That means “show me the path to the Jetragon saddle” has a one-line answer — reach its level and have its cost spare — and the genuinely hard question is the budget. A level-50 character holds about 50 points against 788 points of unlocks already open to them.

Ancient Technology Points are a separate currency entirely, earned from tower bosses rather than levels, covering 46 unlocks. No amount of levelling produces one.
