Is Palworld crossplay?
Yes. Since update v0.5.0 in March 2025, Palworld supports crossplay across PC (Steam and Game Pass), Xbox, PlayStation 5 and Mac — everyone can play in the same world together.
Which platforms can play together
| Platform | Crossplay |
|---|---|
| PC — Steam | Yes |
| PC — Xbox / Game Pass | Yes |
| Xbox Series X|S | Yes |
| PlayStation 5 | Yes |
| Mac | Yes |
Before v0.5.0 the platforms were split — Steam players could not join Xbox players, and PS5 was separate again. That restriction is gone.
How to turn crossplay on
It is controlled by whoever hosts the world, not by the people joining. When creating or loading a world, open world settings and switch the Cross-Play toggle on. Everyone else then joins normally, whatever they are playing on.
The catch: your save does not travel
Crossplay and cross-progression are different things, and Palworld has the first but not the second. Your character, inventory, map progress, technology unlocks and personal save data stay on the platform you played them on. Buying the game again on another platform means starting again there.
Pals are the partial exception — the Global Palbox added in the same update moves Pals between your own worlds, but it does not move your character.
Where this page’s information comes from
Everything else on paldb.gg is extracted from Palworld’s own game files. This page is not — crossplay is a platform feature, not a number in a data table — so it carries no extraction stamp. It was checked against current sources in August 2026. If Pocketpair changes platform support, this page can go stale in a way the Paldex cannot.
