GPORTAL for Palworld
What GPORTAL publishes about its Palworld hosting, read on 2026-09-09, checked against the requirements Pocketpair publishes — and what you still have to set up yourself once the server is running.
A transcription and a specification check, not a review. Nobody here has bought this plan, so there is no uptime figure, no verdict on support and no score — those would have to be invented, and inventing them is what most pages in this category do. Everything below is either GPORTAL’s own published claim or Pocketpair’s own published requirement, and it says which.
Does it meet Palworld’s stated requirements?
Pocketpair vs GPORTAL| Requirement | Pocketpair states | GPORTAL states |
|---|---|---|
| RAM | 16 GB standard; 8 GB is described as carrying a crash risk; more than 32 GB for larger servers | not stated on their page |
| CPU | 4 cores or more | not stated on their page |
| Storage | An SSD — slow storage is described as able to corrupt saves | not stated on their page |
“Not stated” is a fact about the page, not a criticism of the hardware — most hosts sell on player slots rather than specs. Where a host quotes uncapped RAM instead of a number there is genuinely nothing to check, and this says so rather than scoring it.

What you still have to do yourself
No host configures the world for you. Whichever you pick, the server starts on Pocketpair’s defaults and every rule your group cares about is one line in PalWorldSettings.ini: the experience rate, what you drop on death, how long eggs take to hatch, and whether raids happen at all. The config generator writes the file and refuses keys the game does not have, which is the usual reason a hand-edited config silently does nothing.
Two more that catch everyone on a fresh server: AdminPassword ships empty and RCON ships disabled, so the admin commands do nothing until you set both — regardless of host.
The other hosts
Indifferent Broccoli, DatHost, Shockbyte, BisectHosting — or the comparison, and the case for not renting one at all: co-op holds four players free and the dedicated server software is a free download.
