PlayerDamageRateDefense
Multiplies damage taken by players — the difficulty dial most people mean. Ships as 1.000000; takes a decimal multiplier (written with six decimals, as the file does). From the damage group of the shipped settings file.
How to set it
shipped fileThe setting lives inside the single OptionSettings=(…) line under [/Script/Pal.PalGameWorldSettings] in PalWorldSettings.ini. Change this fragment, keep the rest of the line intact:
PlayerDamageRateDefense=1.000000Shown with the shipped default. The config generator writes the whole line for you and refuses keys the file does not have.
Default
1.000000
Verbatim from DefaultPalWorldSettings.ini, build 4570874460. Value type is inferred from that default — the file has no schema.
What the presets set it to
The generator’s presets are diffs against the shipped file; these are the ones that touch PlayerDamageRateDefense. They are our suggestions, not the game’s, and every other preset leaves it at 1.000000.

The “what it does” line at the top is ours, written from the key, its type and its default; the default itself and the syntax are the file’s.
