Are there shiny Pals in Palworld?
Lucky Pals are the equivalent. Their passive gives +15% attack, +15% defence and +20% work speed — not the +15%/+15% the press reports.
Yes — they are called Lucky Pals. They spawn in the overworld like any other Pal, at a higher level, visibly larger and glowing, and they carry a passive skill named Lucky.
The figure that circulates in the gaming press — dotesports, PC Gamer and Dexerto all run it — is “+15% Attack and +15% Work Speed”. The dedicated Palworld databases have it right, and so does the game’s own passive table:
- Attack +15%
- Defence +15% — missing from the press write-ups entirely
- Work speed +20%, not the +15% those articles quote
On the odds, the honest answer is that nobody knows. Pocketpair has never published a Lucky spawn rate and there is no such table in the game files, so the “about one every ten hours” figure in circulation is player anecdote rather than data. We would rather say that than repeat a number we cannot check.
Lucky is a rank-4 trait with a lottery weight of 100, and no Pal is born with it — see all passive skills for how that weighting compares.
