Where to get Onion Seeds in Palworld
4 Pals drop Onion Seeds, and they are not equal — Palumba gives 1–2 at 100%, which is the best return per kill in the game. Every rate below is the game's own figure.
Each Pal here gives more Onion Seeds per kill than every Pal that spawns earlier — hunt the highest one you can reach.
| From level | Pal | Avg per kill | Where |
|---|---|---|---|
| 20 | Vaelet | 0.5 | |
| 23 | Broncherry | 1.5 |
Not a speed ranking: spawn density and kill time are not in the game files, so “fastest” is not something this page can prove.
Pals that drop Onion Seeds
| Pal | Rate | Amount | Avg per kill | Where |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Palumba | 100% | 1–2 | 1.5 | |
| Broncherry | 100% | 1–2 | 1.5 | |
 Broncherry Aqua | 100% | 1–2 | 1.5 | |
| Vaelet | 50% | 1 | 0.5 |
Rate and amount are stated by the game. “Avg per kill” is ours — the rate multiplied by the mean of the amount range — so you can compare a rare big drop against a reliable small one without doing it in your head.
Buying it
3 merchant stocks sell Onion Seeds outright, from 70 gold. If you are short on time rather than gold, this beats farming — merchant locations are listed separately.
Chests, expeditions, nodes and other sources
The game stores these as weights rather than percentages — an item’s chance is its weight against everything else in the same grade. The odds below are that division done, so you can compare a route against hunting.
